I've been neglecting my blog, so thought I'd start with a few updates.
Today I took a walk through the woodland near us, and the noise from the cicadas was extraordinary! They are strange things that live in the ground for a few years before emerging and becoming adults.
The countryside is intensly dry – and after such a dry winter the fire breaks are more aggressive and wide than ever.
