I’ve met online some interesting people through Blipfoto and yesterday I met up with two of my fellow Blippers for coffee in Ronda.
Over from Oxford these two fellow ‘Blippers’ shared the day with me and we took the beautiful ‘Camino de los Ingleses’ that runs down from Ronda to Gaucin, offering great views of the Genal Valley in its autumn splendour, the chestnut trees reflecting the warm late afternoon light.
On the way down to Gaucin we stopped off in the village of Atajate, and discovered an old oil mill, closed since the 90s. Through the open window one could still make out the press with its large, heavy stones.
The village’s cemetery, with its distinctive Spanish niches, is housed inside the ancient Arab fortified tower – from here the views are stunning.
I’ve posted a previous piece on this area a few years back.
