This morning I was driving along the busy N340 / A7 to the supermarket, when the glistening sea to my right was a temptation too great. I took the next right and drove the few hundred metres to the beach at San Pedro. The sculpture here is the "Bailarina", Santiagao de Santiago, standing at the border of San Pedro with Cortijo Blanco. I walked for a while and captured the moment for this diary.
All my worldly possessions are now in Spain – my UK Spanish teacher’s brother drove everything down in a van and it is all stored in the basement of the apartment, ready for when I get organised with a place. Progress on that matter is moving fast, with the hope this weekend of securing a place just north of the Golden Mile, on the drive in to Marbella, east of Puerta Banus. This would make my commute to Inlingua an easy 10 minutes by car or a 25 minute walk when the weather is okay.
