Artisan Andalusian sherries available online in UK

Ok, so a little plug for a new online retailer, SherryBoutique.com. The site has just launched, and offers residents in the UK the opportunity to purchase and enjoy limited production, artisan and authentic sherries from Andalucia.

For those of us here in Andalucia sherry is very much part of the culture, and many foreign nationals living here have become ambassadors of sorts for these delicious and complex wines. Thankfully for producers here in southern Spain, sherry is also experiencing a rennaissance in interest internationally. The wines are better understood and consumers are being more adventurous in their choices.

Sherry Boutique, in these early days of the site, is focusing on the sherries from two bodegas based in Jerez de la Frontera, Andalucia – Bodegas Urium and Bodegas Faustino Gonzalez – with plans to feature guest sherries from other bodegas to complement the range.

The wine collection is curated by Certified Sherry Educator Helen Highley, author of the sherry-dedicated site, Criadera.com.
