Andalucia Diary – Seasonal Travel Notes

Christmas in Málaga

Yesterday we went to Málaga for some Christmas shopping.  It was good to see that in the casco antiguo some of the old buildings were being renovated. That whole area has such potential, so I really hope it attracts more investment.  In amongst the narow streets are some interesting independent retailers that make a change for the big store names.  Lunch was tasty tapas in my favourite "Quitapenas" bar, where I bumped into a client – small world.Dsc00031

Along the main street outside Hotel Larios where we stayed at Easter was groups of singers adding to the festive spirit.  Carol singers are not as popular here, where instead youth and church groups come through the streest with guitars and other instruments, singing traditional songs.
