Next month brings the annual Luna Mora arts festival to the village of Guaro.
The festival runs over the middle two weekends of the month, 10 & 11 and 17 & 18 September; with a Moorish style street souk and the whole village is illuminated with thousands of candles.
The festival has grown considerably over the years and this September will see the inauguration of the purpose-built, open air auditorium, 
with views across the village and towards Malaga, the Med and Sierra Nevada and beyond.
Local Malaga singing star, Diana Navorro will be performing. I saw her in concert a few years back in the neighbouring village of Monda and she was impressive.
Paco de Lucía is also performing in first weekend – a world renowned flamenco guitarist who was born in Cadiz province.
