I've been meaning to plug Arroyo Hondo for a while- It's a little inland from the coast, north west of Estepona, near the village of Casares. 
It's a historic Spanish venta owned Noriko Robson-Burrell and her husband Christian. Food is really very good, offering the kind of quality and freshness that I wish was more easily found in rural settings.
A few weeks ago I had Sunday Lunch here – I started with tempura prawns, with a melt in the mouth light tempura (obviously with Noriko´s background the Asian influences dishes are a success) and then tucked into a splendid traditional Sunday Lunch. Check the place out.
