It’s Halloween and I’ve escaped the PC and headed to Refugio de Jaunar to take a walk. By the rural hotel there are some chestnut trees; it’s beautiful at this time of year as it really feels like autumn. The damp ground, the smell of the chestnuts (reminds me of collecting conkers in the UK as a child) and the colours of the turning leaves.
Chestnuts are for sale in markets and by the side of the road, but the dry spring and summer has has a real impact on this year’s harvest.
The sunet was superb tonight – a richly textured sky.
