The Treasure of Guaro 1880 – El Tesoro de Guaro

In the 19th century Phylloxera came to Spain, and to the village of Guaro, devastating a wine growing tradition, from which the community never recovered. Although famed for its almond groves. Guaro suffered significant changes follwing the impact Phylloxera – a drama captured in a new festival this weekend in the village – El Tesoro de Guaro.
