An exquistely designed & presented boutique hotel opens in Seville
I love Andalucia’s capital, and the city undeniably has some fabulous places to stay. Yet until now, if you wanted a truely upscale experience there were only limited options in Seville. There is of course the wonderful Alfonso XIII, and another favourite, Corral del Rey.
Yet, this week, there is an additional name for luxury in the city, as the Mercer Seville, 5-star GL, Casa Palacio Castelar opens its doors, just in time for the festive season.
This historic palatial mansion house in the city’s old town, near Seville’s iconic bullring, is now the city’s hip place to stay. The Mercer has 12 rooms and suites, with elegant, contemporary styling with exclusive, bespoke furnishings and artwork. THe architectural transformation of this cultural significant building was executed by Cruz & Ortiz, whilst the interiors reflect the effortless style of Amanda Molina, of Mercer Hotels.
Expect a sexy, signature cocktail bar (by Diego Cabrera), a destination restaurant (the Maria Luisa), and a rooftop terrace.
