Spain is amongst the world’s greatest tourism economies. With an enviable climate, open, friendly people, rich culture, stunning natural environment and a developed infrastructure for visitors, the country is an attractive destination. Andalucía in particular, with its combination of beaches and favourable climate has always been at the forefront of the sector’s success and the famous Costa del Sol has embraced mass tourism for all types of clients; yet now the region also has a growing sustainable tourism sector that is attracting a new client to southern Spain.
