Wondering for a few minutes from the Plaza del Cabildo, the main square in the historic centre of Arcos de la Frontera, down a narrow street leading away from the striking period architecture of the town hall, the Parador hotel and the tower of the Church of Santa Maria, we came upon a small bar.
With brightly painted wooden tables and chairs outside, and potted geraniums, it looked an inviting place for lunch. This traditional-style restaurant bar called, Taberna Jóvenes Flamencos was a real find.
The family and their team are genuinely friendly and in addition to their passion for local culture, flamenco and music, they are real food lovers. They have a superb tapas menu and good choice of wines and the team ‘know their stuff’, equipped to recommend dishes and wines.
I really recommend a visit here if you’re looking for somewhere informal to eat whilst in Arcos de la Frontera.
