Andalucia Diary – Seasonal Travel Notes

Ojen – Malaga White Village – Inland Marbella, Andalucia

Today are the elections for Andalucia's regional government – so an important time for the autonomous region. Although we live in La Mairena, our municipality is Ojen, so this morning we headed to the village so Rafa could vote. Frustratingly, despite being married, having a business here and a paying tax I can't vote in the regional or national elections – just local.

There was a small art fair in the square and everyone was out – we sat in the square and enjoyed a cold beer, with Lucy Lou the wee hound we're dog sitting this weekend.

The warm, dry winter seems to have accelerated the fruit trees – I don't remember seeing plump lemons this early in the year – the charming chapel in Ojen is clad with fruit laden trees.
