Gran Hotel Miramar Malaga Andrew Forbes Andalucia Diary

Gran Hotel Miramar opens in Malaga

The Gran Hotel Miramar, the long-awaited 5 star deluxe hotel, has finally opened in Malaga capital. It’s still having the finishing touches made to its terraces and spa, but it is open to the public.

Here’s a peak, via my instagram gallery @luxurynavigator

I'm back in Andalucia 🙂 These are the Mediterranean gardens @ghmiramarmalaga – Málaga's new 5-star deluxe property. Originally opened in 1926 as the 'Hotel Príncipe de Asturias', it was closed during the civil war and the crown above the entrance was destroyed. Since being a war hospital, and then city law courts the hotel is looking to be back on track to regain its glamorous credentials as a exclusive hotel; and a royal crown is once again above the entrance. The front terrace pool area, spa & roof terrace and about 15 rooms have yet to be completed but the property is open. (I enjoyed a sneek peak with the Sales Director; although the property is in soft opening phase with mainly corporate clients etc. We bumped into the Mayor of Málaga also enjoying a tour 🙂 . . . #granhotelmiramar #malaga #andalucia #spain #visitmalaga #luxuryhotels #luxurytravel #luxurynavigator #gardens #mediterranean #wintersun #january #palms #architecture #history #hotels #travel #instatravel
