Before I moved to Spain fulltime, I had a place east of Estepona; and we used to walk to Tikitano Restaurant. It was a magical place, with its stunning view out across the Med towards Morocco and Gib.
Over the past ten years the restaurant has had some notable highs and a few lows, but it’s a real survivor, remaining open when so many restaurants along the coast have closed.
The present team are doing a good job keeping the spirit of Tikitano alive.
On April 12th, Tikitano Restaurant celebrated its tenth anniversary in April with real style. I was expecting the usual drinks and canapés, but Tikitano really pushed the boat out with superb wines from Bodega Pago de Cirsus and Manuel Manzaneque; together with wonderful gourmet snack, including some superb cured Spanish hams, artisan cheese, and local produced olive oil as a very tasty BBQ.
There was also entertainment from The Rat Pack Live.
So a big ‘thank you’ to General Manager Scarlett Smits and her team.
