Sierra De Las Nieves Pine Cone Cropped

Aromatic Mediterranean Walk, Sierra de las Nieves

This December weather is fantastic; means I can get out all the time!

Wide-Leaved Iris in limestone

Today, despite a slightly chilly breeze, it was perfect for walking. Even now in winter the countryside is really aromatic. Wild lavender is sprouting up in the warm sun, and there is plenty of aromatic wood sage, wild Andalusia thyme, anise, sage and also Turpentine trees, Mastic,
There’s plenty of colour too with spiny broom, flowering cliff hanger, wide-leaved iris, daisies…..
